Every inch matters. That’s the theme of a new body measuring tape and campaign aimed at reigning in waistlines and fighting diabetes and heart disease. The silky ribbon of cloth, which fits easily into a pocket or purse, allows users to frequently check their waistlines so that they can strive to stay below the clearly marked danger zones for women and men.
Studies have shown that a female with a waistline of 35 inches or above, and a male with 40 inches or above, are at increased risk to develop Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
The Every Inch Matters® Waistline Measure doesn’t stop there. On the reverse side is a wealth of critical wellness information, including the common risk factors for diabetes; guidelines for preventing and controlling the disease; tips for exercising daily, losing weight, eating properly, and taking care of your feet; and ways to battle heart disease and hypertension.
“Every Inch Matters” is the brainchild of Wiley Mullins, founder of Wiley’s Wellness Solutions, an online emporium of healthy cooking ingredients, recipes, and salad seasonings. “If I had my way, every man, woman, and child would have one of these,” says Mullins. “And that goes for you, too, Governor Christie of New Jersey. People can’t carry scales around with them, but this is just as effective in warning them when their love handles become a little too much to love.”
Wiley’s Wellness Solutions is taking its campaign to the media in an effort to spread awareness of the risks of diabetes and heart disease through the sale of its heath-affirming measuring tape. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to nonprofit organizations dedicated to these causes.
The company is also seeking to establish partnerships with industries that can benefit from the distribution of the Every Inch Matters® Waistline Measure, such as insurance providers, health food companies, fitness clubs, wellness organizations, medical offices, and others.
